Court Ordered Mediation

Florida Supreme Court County & Circuit Court Certified

North Carolina Superior Court Certified

Court-ordered mediation is a mandatory step in many civil cases. It encourages parties to reach a settlement outside of the court room, and offers several other benefits as well:

  • Mediation provides a Neutral Mediator: A certified mediator, who is a neutral third party, facilitates the discussion and helps the parties find common ground.
  • It Encourages Settlement: The primary goal of mediation is to help parties reach a mutually agreeable resolution, thereby avoiding trial. This less adversarial approach is, found by many to be, less stressful overall.
  • Saves on Time and Money: Mediation allows a flexible environment in which parties work toward a resolution together, saving months (if not years) of costly court proceedings.
